Intersting...

I've been thinking about this as well for mine. The paint is a currently a poor home respray which has chips, scrapes, etc.

Once concern I had was getting paint on the window trim, etc. Is there much leeching under the blue tape?

I'm keen to see your results - I'd like to paint mine black, but I've worried about the effort. I'll be interested on your opinion on that once you've got the technique nailed. Otherwise it will be yellow or orange. It is a shame that yellow taxis over here are all orange... I don't want to go to all that effort to look like a taxi!

Steve,

I just put a 3rd layer on this morning and the gloss effect / auto levelling of the technique blows me away...and honestly.... I am a rank amateur at car restoration...very little experience...

Will advise on what damage to trim and how the blue tapes holds up - but I have spent the dosh on Pelican parts to get new rubber trims for the car because the old ones are about done - so I am not overly concerned about damaging them.

The metal trim will be the concern - will keep you up to date on this...

Cheers
